El ministro de Industria, Energía y Turismo, José Manuel Soria, y el ministro de Educación, Cultura y Deportes, José Ignacio Wert, han presentado en este mes de abril, la segunda edición del programa Iniciativa Emprendedora para el estímulo del espíritu emprendedor en la universidad.

Conscientes de la necesidad de impulsar la iniciativa emprendedora a todos los niveles de nuestra sociedad, han lanzado este programa de alcance nacional, orientado a fomentar la iniciativa emprendedora en la universidad.

El programa tiene como objetivo mostrar a los alumnos universitarios la creación de una empresa como una alternativa atractiva frente al empleo por cuenta ajena, donde puedan desarrollar su potencial creativo e innovador, a la vez que les dota de las herramientas necesarias para estudiar la viabilidad de una idea de negocio.

La segunda edición del programa Iniciativa Emprendedora cuenta con una inversión total de 2.750.000 euros y se impartirá en más de 150 cursos que, se estima, formarán a más de 3.500 alumnos. De esta forma, se esperan duplicar las cifras del pasado año, en la que participaron más de 1.500 alumnos de 38 universidades públicas y privadas de toda España ubicadas en 14 Comunidades Autónomas.
La formación será impartida por la Escuela de Organización Industrial, decana de las Escuelas de Negocio en España y perteneciente al Ministerio de Industria, Energía y Turismo. La EOI es experta en la puesta en marcha de empresas, habiendo participado en la gestación de miles de proyectos de empresas tanto dentro como fuera de España.

Este año se incorpora la formación online por la UNED (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia), así como la posibilidad de ofrecer el curso no sólo a alumnos de Máster, sino también a estudiantes de postgrado, doctorado y jóvenes universitarios en paro que hayan acabado sus estudios en los últimos años.The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Jose Manuel Soria and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, Jose Ignacio Wert have presented the second edition of the Entrepreneurial Initiative program in order to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in university.

Aware of the need to promote entrepreneurial initiative at all levels of our society, they have launched this national program, aiming at encouraging the entrepreneurial initiative in university.

This program aims at showing university students how the setting up of a company and being self-employed can be an attractive alternative to being an employee and working for others. Such program allows them to develop their creative and innovative potential and it also provides them with the necessary tools to study the viability of a prospective business.

2.750.000 euros have been allocated to the second edition of the program Entrepreneurial Initiative and it will be taught in over 150 courses. Such courses will be followed by more than 3.500 students. It is foreseen that the 1.500 students from last year coming from 38 public and private universities from 14 Autonomous Regions, will be doubled this year, counting thus with more than 3.500 students.

This course will be taught by the School of Industrial Organization, senior organization of the Business Schools in Spain and belonging to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.  The School of Industrial Organization has the required expertise to start-up companies, having participated in thousands of projects of companies both inside and outside Spain. This year the UNED (National Distance University) is offering this course online and it can be followed not only by master students, but also by postgraduate, doctorate students and unemployed university students who have recently finished their education.
